Welcome Message

You are cordially invited to ICoME 2016 (International Conference for Media in Education) in Kyoto, an ancient city of Japan, to be held on August 18th – 20th, 2016. ICoME 2016 is the 14th joint conference supported by the Japan Association for Educational Media Study (JAEMS) and the Korean Association for Educational Information and Media (KAEIM) since the first conference held in Korea. After the big success of the 13th Anniversary conference in China, thanks to Northeast Normal University, it is our first time to hold ICoME in our beautiful city, Kyoto, a World Heritage site with easy access to Kansai International Airport. It takes just one hour by the super express, “Haruka”, into Kyoto. Kyoto is an amazing place for sightseeing. There are hundreds of places to see and visit. While attending the conference, you can enjoy temples and scenery that are famous world-wide.

So, there are a lot of reasons why you should come to ICoME 2016. Not only for sightseeing, but it is also an opportunity to re-kindle professional relationships with long-time colleagues, who live far apart, as well as strengthening our friendships, and exploring new ideas and more! During the ICoME2016, we will explore ways to strengthen international connections through media, with the theme “Building relationships and a sense of community in a digital society.”

Hope to see you in Kyoto. Bring your friends and students to help us continue our tradition of warm hospitality and fruitful international collaboration this year in Japan with eyes toward our 15th ICoME in 2017!
